None of this stuff appeals.
For my life with the Lord
Is about being 'me'
And not 'you', in all that it reveals.
Being silent or busy;
Being with Book or without.
All of these things
Can work, without doubt.
But for this man here sat,
But a nod and a chat
In the midst of my life
With children and wife.
I search His face
I search His face
In the time and the place
Where I am,
What I do
In that, I can be true.
